Fear is an
emotion that can rob us of the peace and joy that God has for us. If we allow
it, it can steal boldness and confidence, destroy relationships, cause us to
want to run to or from something, and hold us back from getting the blessings
that God has for us. Fear is from Satan. When we are sensing fear, know it’s
the enemy trying to convince you of a lie.
Where does
fear come from? It comes from thought
patterns that do not align with the Word of God. These mindsets must be pulled
down along with every high thought and vain imagination in order to experience
freedom. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). They
must be replaced with the truth of the Word of God.
God created
us to live in peace, not fear. In 1 John 4:18, it says, “There is no fear in
love; but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who
fears has not been made perfect in love.”
Torment equals punishment. So
where does torment and punishment come from…God or Satan? First, allow God to bring you a peace that
passes all understanding. Draw near to God.
And then resist the enemy. In James 4:18 it says, “Submit to God. Resist
the devil and he will flee from you”. Receive God’s perfect love!
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

peace and love.
