A Lie About Healing: God made me sick to teach me something

One of the lies that people might be believing about healing is that God makes us sick so He can teach us something. My friends, God is FOR us, not against us. God will NEVER make you sick. God does not afflict us for His glory. That isn't who He is. If you find that you are believing that lie, reject it immediately. It is from the enemy. Jesus died on the cross so we would not only be saved, but also for us to be healed and live in freedom. In John 10:10 Jesus says, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

God is our source for all things good!  

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights....

Fear Steals Your Peace and Joy

Fear is an emotion that can rob us of the peace and joy that God has for us. If we allow it, it can steal boldness and confidence, destroy relationships, cause us to want to run to or from something, and hold us back from getting the blessings that God has for us. Fear is from Satan. When we are sensing fear, know it’s the enemy trying to convince you of a lie. 

Where does fear come from?  It comes from thought patterns that do not align with the Word of God. These mindsets must be pulled down along with every high thought and vain imagination in order to experience freedom.  (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). They must be replaced with the truth of the Word of God.

God created us to live in peace, not fear. In 1 John 4:18, it says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”  Torment equals punishment.  So where does torment and punishment come from…God or Satan?  First, allow God to bring you a peace that passes all understanding. Draw near to God.  And then resist the enemy. In James 4:18 it says, “Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”. Receive God’s perfect love!

2 Timothy 1:7  “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

No Healing Request is Insignificant

Jesus wants to heal ALL of your afflictions, ALL of your hurts, ALL of your diseases, ALL of your brokenness. 

There isn’t anything you could ask HIM to heal that He would not be willing to do. You might think:  it’s just a little cut, it only hurts a little bit, I’ve been like this forever, I can handle it…

Have childlike faith, and ask…just ask, and see what He will do for you.

“Ask and it shall be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you”  Matthew 7:7

“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive”. Matthew 21:22

Healing IS for you

I would like to encourage you that healing IS for you!  Yes, it is for YOU!  Jesus loves you very much.  He died on the cross so you could be free of your pain, wounds, diseases, afflictions and emotional pain.  He wants you to be free and have life more abundantly. (John 10:10)

Jesus died on the cross for your FULL redemption. The redemption includes not only spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus, but also includes healing of your body and soul.  Jesus didn't do anything half way. He went to the cross so we could be healed, delivered and restored. Healing IS for you! It is Finished! It IS done. Would you seek Jesus for healing and walk in freedom today? The enemy wants you to believe a lie that healing is not for you, you an wait and things will get better, it's not that bad...lie, lie, lie. Healing IS for you, and it is available today. Jesus is ALIVE and He is healing people today. It wasn't just for the time that Jesus walked the earth. It is for here and now. Healing IS for you.

Do you have emotional hurts and pain you have been holding on to?  Do you have physical pain in your body? Are you battling a diseases or affliction? With the same mindset that you seek professional help to get better, seek Jesus, the Great Physician for your healing and freedom. You don't have to walk around wounded and beat up any more. Come to Jesus for healing. He loves you and wants you Healed and Restored!

Brokenness

There are times in our lives when our hearts are so very heavy.  We may feel broken hearted. Or experiencing sorrow, disappointments or discouragement.  Remember, the Lord knew you would be walking through your circumstances.  Keep your eyes fixed upon Him, and He will bring you through ALL your troubles.  Look for the joy and the brightness beyond your situation.

Psalm 31:24--Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
Psalm 34: 18--The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Psalm 34: 19--The righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
Psalm 121: 1-2--I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help?  My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

Forgive

Forgiveness is very important to living in peace.  When you forgive others, you release yourself from bondage, too.   Forgiveness is a choice.  Unforgiveness can be the root of many issues:  bitterness, anger, offense, hard feelings. It has been known to manifest in our bodies causing health issues.

Remember, Jesus forgave ALL your sins. Therefore He expects us to forgive others.  Every day we begin with a "clean slate" because Jesus has forgiven all of our sins.  We should do the same for others.

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Ask the Lord to give you the grace to forgive others.  He gives freely, and will surely help you.
